I can't believe Nick is in High School,
and it's been over 7 years since his brain
tumor was removed!

Nick is doing pretty good in school so
far. His grade average is about a B- .
He is struggling a bit with Biology, but
is giving it his best shot!

Nick is still in remission per his last
scans this past spring. We cut his zoloft
dose in half this past June, and he
continues to do well with the lower dose,
even with starting at the high school last
month. His processing skills per the last
testing this past spring, had dropped to an
even lower speed. I was told by the school
physcologst that sometimes zoloft will
effect processing shills. So I am hoping
that the drop in medication dosage has
helped. It seems to have, but, we won't
know for sure until Nick's next testing.

Nick is still getting his growth hormone
shots each night. He is up to 5 feet now!
WooHoo!!! We were told to expect another 3
inches at least.

His digital hearing aids are working
really well for him. And his hearing
loss is still stable.

We went to Michigan's Adventure Amusement
Park last month. We brought along Nick's
best friend Alex and they had a great time!
They actually rode "The Rip Cord" together!
It's a crazy ride where they are straped
into a harness and raised up by a cable
15 stories high. They they pull a rip cord
and drop down and swing to within 6 feet of
the ground! Crazy!!

That is Nick above on vacation up north
with his Aunt Diane. She rented a
cottage and invited us.
