Well, Nick News is getting a long over due facelift,
and it will be much eaiser to update this way. Hopefully
I can do so more than once a year now =(

Nicholas is still in remission and doing very well.
His next annual check up and scans will be this spring.
He is doing well in school with extra help and modifications.
His GPA is a 3.4 as of his last report card. This symester
Nick is in a class called "Goal Realization" and is learning
to cook ! He brought home some cookies this Friday, and
they were awesome! Nick is also in two clubs this year. He
has fun creating in Art Club on Wednesdays, and then tears
'em up in Bowling Club on Mondays.

Nick is getting new, smaller molds for his hearing aids next
month and can't wait. His hearing loss hasn't gotten any worse,
so we are happy about that ! And Nick has grown to a height of
58 and 1/2 inches now, thanks to those nightly growth hormone
shots! In the past 6 months he has grown 1 and 1/2 inches.
He is really beginning to mature too, and is becoming a
wonderful young man. I can't believe he will be 14 in a little
over a month!!

Sadly, Nick's paternal Grandma, who we've lived with since 2001,
passed away on September 30th, 2007. Grandma D will be greatly
missed by us all and will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Grandma D and Nick were very close and they spent a lot of time
together doing puzzels and playing board games. She helped us
out by letting us move in with her when Nick was diagnosed back
in 2001, and we have stayed to help her out these last few years
while her health was failing. We were truely blessed to have
these past 7 years with her

On a happier note, Nick's cousin Karissa has had her baby!
His name is Isaac Ray and he is a very handsome little boy.
And Nick has added to his little zoo of animals. He is now the
proud owner of a snake! Mr Smitthers is a sweet ball python
currently residing in Nick's bedroom =) He eats mice, and loves
to cuddle with Nick! LOL

Well, that's about all I can think of right now, I will update
again to let you all know the results of Nick's scans in a
couple months, as well as post some pictures of his bday.
